Synopsis
Buster Oregon Mortensen er en gutt på 11 år som elsker både livet og alle rundt seg. En ukuelig optimist, som nok vet at livet kan være hardt, men ved hjelp av slikt som tryllekunst og kjærlighet skal det nok gå bra. Han hjelper far, mor, sin halte lillesøster, og ikke minst sin gamle venn Hr. Larsen, som også er en "magiens mester". Buster går på en helt vanlig folkeskole der han underholder den temmelig likeglade klassen med tryllekunster så snart han får sjansen. Denne sommerferien får han sjansen til å vise hele byen hva han kan på byens talentshow. Men Buster har mange jern i ilden - han har forelsket seg i Joanna, hans beste venn Hr. Larsens blir stadig mer skrøpelig, og familien hans trenger ham også. Og igjen er det troen, håpet og kjærligheten som vinner frem. Sånn er det nemlig i Buster Oregon Mortensens Verden.
