BECK 9: HÄMNDENS PRIS
Synopsis
Det är natt. En polisbil stannar vid en punkterad skåpbil på en ödslig väg: två yngre män är i färd med att byta däck. Poliserna kliver ur radiobilen och erbjuder hjälp. Plötsligt kliver en tredje ung man ur skåpbilen. En av poliserna reagerar direkt - mannen är en välbekant kriminell, han förstår omedelbart att han är igenkänd. Han har dessutom rånat ett militärlager för tio minuter sen, och har bilen full med vapen och sprängmedel. Situationen är ohållbar. Senare hittas båda poliserna skjutna till döds på ett sätt som liknar en ren avrättning. Martin Beck kopplas in och får alla resurser han behöver i jakten på de okända mördarna. En jakt som kompliceras av att Becks kollega, Gunvald, var mycket nära vän med en av de mördade poliserna och bokstavligt talat är beredd att ta till vilka metoder som helst för att hitta mördaren.
